This usually occurs on the second and third days of menstruation. As the endometrium falls off faster, the bright red menstrual blood is newer blood, so it has no time to oxidise and darken before it leaves your body.
Pink period blood color
Spotting is any bleeding that happens outside of your regular period. Bleeding that mixes with fertile cervical fluid can appear light red or pinkish. Watery, pink vaginal discharge that occurs irregularly may be a sign of cervical cancer and should consult with doctor.
Grey period blood color
This could be a sign of an infection. If you experience heavy bleeding with pieces of grayish tissue, this could be a sign of a miscarriage. You need help from doctor.
Orange period blood color
While light yellow discharge is nothing to worry about, a darker yellow could be a sign of infection.You need to ask the doctor for help.
So changes in period blood color are normal, dark red, brown or black period blood is simply blood that has reacted with oxygen. Talk to your doctor provider if you have greyish or pink watery discharge, as this can be a sign of an infection or something more serious like cancer.
